The hands of time stretched barely past the midnight mark and Secret was already feeling her eyes getting heavy. It wasnt as if she hadnt gotten something like 8 or 9 hours of sleep. Maybe it was that she had been so productive today. She had gone to Professor Creepys office hours and found out that he wasnt so creepy one-on-one. In fact, after leaving his office, Secret realized that shed left with almost every homework problem completed.

Maybe she should have tried this years ago.

Actually, she did. Perhaps she should have tried this last year when she wasnt as conducive to studying. She hoped that she would keep on the same path the rest of the semester and pull of a stellar GPA. She had the means to do it.

Secret had other things on her mind however. After concentrating on her homework for awhile, Secret let herself be sucked in to analyzing her newest possible interest.

At RP, the Roommates, work part Secret or Prominence or whomever it was met a cute little blonde guy with Buddy Holly glasses who kept repeating the word, Ja! with either German, Russian, or Swedish enthusiasm. After he had switched to his American accent theyd started talking when shed stumbled upon the fact that he was a fellow ECE major.

They had talked for awhile and disappeared off to another party for a cigarette. Then, a Serendipity-like moment happened: he disappeared in the masses before Secret could even find out his name. After looking and asking around for awhile, Secret gave up and let RP take her home. She fell asleep disappointed.

After RP came home from work, shed commented on the blonde guy, effective only in resurrecting Secrets disappointment. RP started looking through a phone book to find the phone number of a friend that might know him while Secret scanned through the online address book.

But it was to no avail.

So, Secret went on with her daily life, attending classes, meeting with professors, being productive when shed decided to stop at the food court for a quick bite to eat in class.

Oh how the fates had smiled upon her.

Normally Secret would not have gone to the food court.

Normally Secret would have just gone to class.

But today was different.

She saw him coming out of the International Center.

After grabbing his first and last names, as soon as she had come back Secret furiously typed out an email to which he replied a few hours later.

With his phone number.

She knew that she couldnt take things too seriously this quickly. They could meet for coffee or something sometime, after all they had plenty to discuss.

She couldnt help but be excited though.
