~I am so high, I can hear heaven.~

She lay breathless, thinking about him, the one that made her heart race, freed her mind, protected her from afar

in a wordher destiny.

~Im so high, I can hear heaven. Whoa, but heaven, no heaven, dont hear me~

She raced to the window, the reflections of the moon catching her eye. She looked out on the black night, searching the heavens for any sort of sign, the sign that she needed at that moment.

~And they say that a hero can save us. Im not gonna stand here and wait.~

Where was her hero? Was he out there in the night watching her right now? Was he wanting to be with her as much as she so desperately wanted him?

~Ill hold on to the wings of the eagles, watch as they all fly away.~

And just like that she felt alone again, the hope lost, the dream far away in the back in her mind. She knew the consequences of love.

~Someone told me love would all save us. But how can that be? Look what love gave us? A world full of killing and bloodspilling, but that world never came.~

She returned to her bed and pulled the comforter over herself. Silly dreams could not battle her biology of her dangerously rising temperature. She felt her eyes involuntarily closing as she fantasized of danger, daring rescues, and passion.

~And they say that a hero can save us. Im not gonna stand here and wait. Ill hold onto the wings of the eagles, watch as we all fly away.~

She could feel his arms around her, catching her as she fell from the sky. Were these fantasies, reality, or delirium? Regardless of the cause, the effect was splendid; she could feel the warmth, the passion, the love.

~Now that the world isnt ending, its love that Im sending to you. It isnt the love of a hero and thats why I fear it wont do.~

The picture started to fade and she fought the loss. Everything was perfect as in her dreamworld, the wind blew her hair about and he cupped her chin in his hand. He stared into her eyes.

~And they say that a hero can save us, Im not gonna stand here and wait. Ill hold on to the wings of the eagles, watch as we all fly away.~

Her body was fighting an army from within while her mind battled with itself to retain its own sanity. Her hero was out there. Maybe she had already met him, maybe not. Maybe their paths had not crossed yet but were barreling toward each other at momentous speeds. They would crash and unite at some time and place. Maybe her body was losing, but her mind would not fail: the picture started to come back to its original clarity. The warm feelings were starting to return and she submitted herself to the unconsciousness pulling over her like a familiar blanket.

~And theyre watching us. Theyre watching us as we all fly away. And theyre watching us. Theyre watching us as we all fly away. And theyre watching us. Theyre watching us as we all fly away.~
